Service type:kernel
Error control:ignore
Group:System Bus Extender
Registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Fdc

Default Behavior

Fdc is a kernel device driver. In Windows XP it is starting right at Kernel initialization. If the Fdc fails to load or initialize, Windows XP start up proceeds without error messages, but information about the failure is being written into Event Log.

1. Select your Windows XP edition and service pack, and then click Download.

2. Save the WinXP_Fdc_Service_Startup.cmd file to a local storage device.
