Default Behavior

Cdaudio is a kernel device driver. In Windows XP it is starting right at Kernel initialization. If the Cdaudio fails to load or initialize, Windows XP start up proceeds without error messages, but information about the failure is being written into Event Log.

Restore Default Startup Configuration for Cdaudio

1. Select your Windows XP edition and service pack, and then click Download.

2. Save the WinXP_Cdaudio_Service_Startup.cmd file to a local storage device.

3. Run the saved file.

4. Restart the computer.
