How to Run a Batch File as an Administrator

Administrative rights are required every time when you change system configuration, including startup settings for a service. Otherwise the changes would not be applied.

In the most cases all you need is to right-click the file and select Run as administrator.

If the Smart Screen feature is enabled, then you may need to mark any downloaded file (not only from this web site) as secure before using or even opening it at the first time.

1. Right click the file and select Properties.

2. In the Properties window click on the Unblock button.

3. If you're prompted to confirm the operation, provide the confirmation.

4. Click OK to close the Properties window.

When the file is unblocked, right-click it and select Run as administrator.
