Default Behavior

Kernel Mode Driver Frameworks service is a kernel device driver. In Windows 10 it is starting by the operating system Boot Loader as a part of the driver stack for the boot volume. If Kernel Mode Driver Frameworks service fails to start, the failure details are being recorded into Event Log. Then Windows 10 will start up and notify the user that the Wdf01000 service has failed to start due to the error.

Restore Default Startup Configuration for Kernel Mode Driver Frameworks service

1. Select your Windows 10 edition and release, and then click Download.

2. Save the Win10_Wdf01000_Service_Startup.cmd file to a local storage device.

3. Run the saved file as an administrator.
